# General ### How does Fizen Pay work? What can I do with my cryptocurrency? As a non-custodial crypto payment gateway, Fizen Pay enables merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments anytime and anywhere. **How this works** * When you want to pay a merchant, we will give instructions for sending the funds directly to the merchant and monitor the blockchain for your transaction. * We will notify the merchant when a valid payment is detected so that they can take the required action from their side. All payments handled by Fizen Pay are non-custodial and peer-to-peer. The cryptocurrency goes directly from your wallet to a merchant's smart contract, so that they can withdraw funds from it to their own wallet whenever they want. Fizen Pay cannot access these funds. ### How can I receive a refund? Can Fizen Pay refund me? Please contact the merchant directly if you would like a refund. All cryptocurrency transactions are direct peer-to-peer payments from a customer to a merchant, which means once a payment is made, Fizen Pay cannot reverse the transaction or reclaim a payment on your behalf. Therefore, we are unable to resolve payment disputes as the transactions are irreversible and secured by the blockchain. ### I haven’t received the item I bought. Can Fizen Pay help me? Please contact the merchant directly for an update on your order status or any other issues. As transactions made with cryptocurrency are direct peer-to-peer payments from the customer to the merchant, there is no way for Fizen Pay to reverse the transaction or reclaim payments on your behalf. As a result, we cannot resolve payment disputes because transactions are secured by the blockchain and are irreversible. ### **How can I keep track of my order ? Where can I find my receipt?** Fizen Pay generates a 12 character order ID for each charge to help with tracking payments and status updates. There are two locations where this code can be found: * While making a payment: on the URL: * After a payment has been processed: The code ID is on the receipt. To see your receipt, please visit \*:CODE is replaced with your 12-character order ID. ### # Payment ### How can I make payment? Step 1: Select the token (cryptocurrency) you want to pay in. Please be mindful of the blockchain network that token belongs to (Binance Smart Chain, etc…) Step 2: Select the wallet you want to use to pay. You have three options: * Fizen Wallet (recommended). You can download Fizen Wallet on Play Store (for [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fizen.io.wallet)) or Apple Store (for [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fizen-wallet-gamefi-payment/id1621269508)). * Metamask (browser extension) * WalletConnect Step 3: Confirm your payment For a detailed guide with screenshots, please refer to [this guide](https://pay-faqs.fizen.io/for-customers/step-by-step-guide-on-how-to-make-payment). ### **What will happen if I pay with a different currency to the one I selected at checkout?** If a customer sends a currency to an address associated with another currency during checkout (i.e. BUSD to a USDT address, or ETH sent to a DAI address), our system will not detect the payment. As a consequence, the merchant will not be able to access those funds from the Fizen Pay dashboard. ### What is Fizen Wallet? Fizen Wallet is a Crypto Super Wallet that can be used to pay for everything. We recommend you to download and use Fizen Wallet to pay for orders on Fizen Pay. You can download Fizen Wallet on Play Store (for [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fizen.io.wallet)) or Apple Store (for [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fizen-wallet-gamefi-payment/id1621269508)). ### What is Metamask? Metamask is a crypto wallet available as a browser extension and a mobile app. Please be aware that when you choose Metamask as your payment wallet, it means Metamask as a browser extension. To use Metamask on your phone, please connect it by WalletConnect. ### What is WalletConnect? WalletConnect is an open source protocol for connecting the Fizen Pay’s payment page to your crypto wallets with QR code scanning. Some of the WalletConnect-compatible wallets are Metamask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow wallet, Argent Wallet, etc # Payment status ### Why does my receipt state that I overpaid an order? What should I do? Fizen Pay tracks payment amounts in cryptocurrency units. The system will detect you overpaid for an order if we have detected an amount greater than what we expected. Usually this occurs when your wallet is using a significantly different exchange rate to Fizen Pay. Please contact the merchant directly with the order ID on your receipt to resolve the issue – the merchant may refund you the amount you overpaid, or refund you in full and ask you to complete the checkout again. ### Why does my receipt state that I underpaid an order? What should I do? Fizen Pay tracks payment amounts in cryptocurrency units. The system will detect you underpaid for an order if we have detected an amount less than what we expected. Usually this occurs when your wallet is using a significantly different exchange rate to Fizen Pay. Please contact the merchant directly with the order ID on your receipt to resolve the issue – the merchant may ask you to send the missing balance for an underpayment, or refund you and request that you complete the checkout process again. . ### Why does my receipt say that I have made multiple payments? What should I do? Fizen Pay should detect a single blockchain transaction for each order, and it seems that there was more than one transaction for your order. Rest assured that all of the funds you sent are securely in the merchant’s smart contract. Please contact the merchant directly to resolve this issue and give them the order ID on your receipt – if the total payment amount is correct, the merchant will be able to manually fix this issue from their dashboard. ### Why does my receipt say that my payment was delayed? What should I do? Fizen Pay monitors the blockchain for 24 hours for payments to the blockchain addresses that we show to you. If a payment is detected outside of this window it is marked as delayed. Please contact the merchant directly with the order ID on your receipt to resolve this issue – the merchant can manually resolve this from their dashboard and take any required steps to ensure that your order is successfully completed. ### Why does my payment link say that my payment expired? What should I do? If you tried to make a payment and received a payment expired message, then the merchant canceled the payment request. If you still need to make a payment, the merchant will need to create a new invoice. How does it work? Fizen Pay is a non-custodial payment solution that enables merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments globally. All funds that you receive are solely and fully controlled by you – Fizen Pay does not have access to any funds that you receive.e. Unfortunately, this also means that if you lose your 12 word secret phrase, Fizen Pay will not be able to help recover it. There are a number of features that enable merchants to use our platform in various ways: * For merchants who sell a small number of products, ưe offer super simple invoices * For users who run a store on an Ecommerce platform, we provide quick integrations to popular Ecommerce services such as WooCommerce and PrestaShop. * For users who need more advanced functionality, we offer flexible APIs. ### What are the fees of Fizen Pay? Fizen Pay is a pay-as-you-go platform with a flat-rate, transaction-based fee of 0.5% per transaction. Additionally, in order to withdraw any funds you have received, you will need to pay a network fee (gas fee) to the blockchain you are using. Some of these currencies are available by default, some are not, but you can choose which you would like to accept with the ON/OFF toggle under the “Accepted” section here: [https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/crypto-settings ]() We categorize crypto currencies into 3 groups: Stablecoin, Popular, and Others. * **Stablecoins** are cryptocurrencies where the price is designed to be stable and tied to a fiat money, typically one US Dollar. * **Popular** group contains top cryptocurrencies of popular exchanges, with high volumes and large number of holders. * **Others** group mostly includes game tokens and tokens from our partners. Of the three groups, only cryptocurrencies in the stablecoin group are accepted by default. You can sign up for a free account on [merchant.fizen.io](https://merchant.fizen.io/signin) Fizen Pay will pre-approve a number of emails signing up per day. If that number is exceeded, we will manually approve your email. To get approved faster, please contact . ### What is 2-step verification? With 2-Step Verification, also called two-factor authentication, you can add an extra layer of security to your account in case your password is stolen. After you set up 2-Step verification, you can sign in to your account with your password and your 6-digit Google Authentication code. **How to set up 2-step verification?** Step 1: Install Google Authenticator app on your phone. We recommend you use Google Authenticator app by Google. Download on [Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.authenticator2\&hl=en\&gl=US) | [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/google-authenticator/id388497605) Step 2: Use the app to scan the QR code on Fizen Pay’s screen Step 3: Enter the 6-digit code generated by the Google Authenticator app and enter it on Fizen Pay’s screen ### What is a backup code and what is it for? If you lose your phone or otherwise can't get authentication codes by your Google Authentication app, you can use backup codes to bypass 2-step authentication. **IMPORTANT: Once you use a backup code to sign in, that code becomes inactive. You can get a new set of 10 backup codes when you have 3 or fewer backup codes left.** ### Why do I have to set up a wallet when signing up? Can’t I use my own wallet? When signing up for a Fizen Pay account, you will need to set up a new wallet to receive crypto payments from your customers. You will have full control over your wallet - Fizen Pay does not store your secret phrase/private key and cannot access the funds in it. **IMPORTANT: Always backup your wallet and never reveal your secret phrase or private key to anyone.** ### What is a secret phrase and what is it for? A secret phrase is a sequence of 12 words that gives you access to the cryptocurrency that you have received. Anyone with your secret phrase can get access to your funds. To secure your funds, it is very important that you do not lose this secret phrase. To access the funds in your wallet, import your secret phrase to a crypto wallet like Fizen Wallet (recommended) or Metamask. You can download Fizen Wallet on Play Store (for [Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fizen.io.wallet)) or Apple Store (for [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fizen-wallet-gamefi-payment/id1621269508)). # Balances ### What is “Balances in Smart Contract”? When a customer pays you, the funds will go to your Smart Contract. This is the smart contract we create for you and only you when you sign up for a Fizen Pay account. The amount you see under the Balances in Smart Contract section in the [Balances ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/balances)page is the amount payable to you. Fizen Pay has already deducted your service fee. You can set it to automatically withdraw the funds from your smart contracts to your crypto wallets, or you can withdraw manually anytime you want. When a customer pays you, the funds will go to your Smart Contract. You can set it to automatically withdraw the funds from your smart contracts to your crypto wallets, or you can withdraw it manually. The funds you have withdrawn will be sent to your hot wallet. This is the wallet you created when you signed up for a Fizen Pay account. Fizen Pay supports displaying the crypto balances in your hot wallet in the “Balances in Your Wallet” section in the [Balances ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/balances)page. We do not have access to your hot wallet or any assets stored in it. It is important that you save the secret phrase of that wallet securely so that you can maintain access to your funds. ### # Withdrawals ### How can I withdraw the funds that I have received? Our default setting is immediate withdrawal. As soon as a customer pays you, the funds will immediately be withdrawn from your smart contract to your wallet. Each withdrawal is a blockchain transaction, which will incur gas fees, so some merchants prefer to withdraw in batches to reduce these fees. You can go to [Account settings](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/settings) > **Auto-withdrawals** to set the duration for automatically transferring the crypto you accumulate from your smart contracts to your crypto wallets. These are your options: * Immediately (default): As soon as a customer pays you, the funds will immediately be withdrawn from your smart contract to your wallet. If you change from Immediately to other options, the moment you change back to Immediately, the funds accumulated in your smart contract will be transferred to your wallet. * Every 30 minutes: The funds will accumulate in your smart contracts and get sent to your wallets every 30 minutes. * Every 60 minutes: The funds will accumulate in your smart contracts and get sent to your wallets every 60 minutes. * Every 90 minutes: The funds will accumulate in your smart contracts and get sent to your wallets every 90 minutes. * Claim manually: The funds will accumulate in your smart contracts. You can withdraw it to your wallet whenever you want. To claim manually, log into your Fizen Pay account to withdraw your funds and click on the “Withdraw” button next to the cryptocurrency you want in the [Balances ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/balances)page. A dialog box will pop up to confirm your withdrawal. ### Where do the funds I withdraw go? When a customer pays you, the funds will go to your Smart Contract. When you withdraw them, they will go to your wallet. This is the wallet you created when you signed up for your account. It is important that you save the secret phrase of that wallet securely so that you can maintain access to your funds. ### Why do I have to pay a network fee to withdraw and how much is this fee? A network fee is required so that your transaction is processed by the decentralized cryptocurrency network. This fee does not go to Fizen Pay but to cryptocurrency miners, as an incentive to keep the network secure and include your transaction in a block. There are a number of network-dependent factors that are used to calculate a withdrawal fee, making it difficult to predict these fees in advance. However, withdrawal fees for most currencies are normally under $1.00. Each withdrawal will incur gas fees. You can choose to withdraw in larger batches to reduce the gas fees. Please go to [Account settings](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/settings) > **Auto-withdrawals** to set the duration to automatically transfer your crypto from Fizen Pay contracts to your crypto wallets. You can set it to immediate auto withdrawal or to every thirty, sixty or ninety minutes. Alternatively you can also claim manually. ### Is there a minimum amount that I need to withdraw? As long as the amount exceeds the gas fee needed to withdraw it, then you can make the withdrawal. ### Is there a maximum amount that I can withdraw? There are no limits on withdrawals on Fizen Pay – you can withdraw all of the funds that you have received at any time. ### Where can I see the history of my withdrawal from smart contracts to my wallet? On the [Balances ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/balances)page, in the Balances in Smart Contract section, click on the History button next to crypto currency whose withdrawal history you want to see. You will be able to see the date, amount, and status of the withdrawal. Status * **Success** means the funds are successfully sent to your crypto wallet. * **Failure** means the transaction failed and the funds are still in your smart contract. You can try withdrawing them again. * **Transaction submitting** means the transaction is being sent to the blockchain to be included in a block. * **Blockchain confirming** means the blockchain is validating your transaction. ### Is it possible to convert my cryptocurrency into fiat or link a bank account? Yes, Fizen Pay supports you to convert your received crypto to fiat. Sometimes this can happen when your customer initially underpays an order and is attempting to top up the remaining balance. Depending on the circumstance, we recommend either marking the payment as resolved and processing the order, or contacting your customer (or wait for your customer to contact you) to refund the excess amount (if any) before marking the payment as resolved and processing the order. ### What is a “delayed” payment? Fizen Pay monitors payments to the blockchain address for 24 hours. If we detect a payment outside of this window, it is marked as delayed. If you click on the relevant payment on your [Payments ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/payments)page, you'll be able to see the payment details with the amount received. Depending on the circumstance, we recommend either marking the payment as resolved and processing the order, or contact your customer (or wait for your customer to contact you) to settle the payment before marking the payment as resolved and processing the order. # Invoices The invoicing feature lets you easily request crypto payments from your customers immediately and without any integration. On [Invoices ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/invoices)page, you can manage your payments, track your invoice and payment status, and review your transaction history all in one place. ### How do I create and send an invoice? You can send an invoice through a self-hosted link using our tools. To create and send an invoice: * Step 1: Log in to your account, go to [Invoices ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/invoices)page. * Step 2: Click **Create invoice** button * Step 3: On **Create new invoice** model, input Amount, Customer email, Customer name, Memo (customer name and memo are optional), click **Create invoice** * Step 4: Copy the invoice link and send it to your customer. Once your customer receives the link, they’ll be able to review the invoice details and complete payment. ### Where can I view all of my invoices? You can view all of your invoices and their status on the [Invoices ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/invoices)page. Select the individual invoice to view more details. ### Can I cancel an invoice? Only invoices with a New status can be voided. If you’d like to cancel an invoice, select that invoice from your [Invoices ](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/invoices)page, click **Void invoice**, and confirm the action. Once complete, the invoice link will be expired. Your customer will not be able to send payment to that invoice anymore. You’ll need to create a new invoice if a payment is still needed. In the rare event that a payment is made as you void an invoice, the payment would still be delivered to you. If you do not want the payment and would like to refund your customer, please contact your customer and handle the refund manually. ### What is an “expired” invoice? If we do not detect a payment for an invoice within 24 hours of its creation, it is marked as expired. # Point of Sale (POS) #### What is Fizen Pay’s Point-of-Sale (POS) solution? Fizen Pay offers a simple solution for accepting crypto payments in person. You can create a flexible POS, print out the QR code and show it for your customers at your physical shop. Your customers can scan the QR code by their personal smartphones, input the payment amount, choose the payment token, and pay you right away. It is a simple, no-code solution to crypto payments that can be implemented right away! # Account ### I’ve lost access to my 2-step verification device. What should I do? You can use your one-time use backup codes to reset your 2-step verification device if you lose access to your old device: * Enter your username and password here: ; * Click **Enter a backup code** when asked to enter Google Authentication code. * Enter one of your one-time use codes. After you successfully log in your account, please go to [Account settings](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/settings). In the Two-step verification section, click the **Change device** button. * Click **Use backup code** or **Use password** when asked to enter Google Authentication code. * Enter one of your one-time use codes or your password * Follow the instructions to set up a new 2-step verification device. For security reasons, we're unable to reset your 2-step verification if you're unable to recover with your one-time use backup codes and password. ### How do I change my password? To change your password: * Go to the [Account settings](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/settings) page. * Click **Change password** under **Account information** section. * Enter your current password and your new password and select **Change Password**. Once complete, you can use your new password from the next time you sign in. ### I forgot my password. What can I do? Anyone who has your secret phrase can move all funds in your wallet to any blockchain address. We recommend immediately withdrawing all funds in your wallet to addresses that you control to mitigate the possibility of theft. Unfortunately Fizen Pay does not currently have a way to generate a new secret phrase. Once your funds are in a secure location, we recommend closing your account and opening a new Fizen Pay account. Fizen Pay is non-custodial, which means we do not have access to your funds and we do not store your secret phrase/private key. Therefore, we have no way to assist you in this regard. To close your account, please visit your [Account settings](https://merchant.fizen.io/dashboard/settings) page and follow the instructions under **Close Account**. **Important things to remember when you close your account:** * Closing your account is permanent and irreversible. Fizen Pay cannot recover your account once you have closed it. * You need to withdraw all of your balances in your smart contracts to your wallets. Once you have closed your account, no one can withdraw it, including Fizen Pay. * Once you have closed your account, all of your integration using APIs, your Ecommerce’s Fizen Pay plugins and webhooks will become invalid. * Once you have closed your account, all of your payment links will expire. Your customers will not be able to send crypto through those links anymore. # Flexible payments Due to the volatile nature of cryptocurrency, the price of specific cryptos can change between the time a payment is initiated to the time the payment is received. If your customer’s wallet used a significantly different exchange rate than Fizen Pay, prices can fluctuate even more. Now as a merchant, you can set up Flexible Payments to allow more payments to be approved with greater consistency. ### What's Flexible Payments? Flexible Payments enables you to set specific thresholds for payments that are slightly more or slightly less than the listed price. This prevents payments from getting flagged as Underpaid or Overpaid if they aren't the exact listed price for a good or service. As a merchant, you can set adjustable overpayment and underpayment thresholds that will accept a payment from a customer as long as the payment doesn't deviate outside of those thresholds. You decide the threshold and you decide if it's a number (absolute), percentage (relative). ### What are absolute and relative thresholds? An absolute threshold is a number value that the underpayment or overpayment from a customer can fall within while still being approved and marked as a Complete payment. Example: Set absolute underpayments threshold = $0.1 means you accept a payment of $9.9 for a $10 order. Set absolute overpayments threshold = $0.1 means you accept a payment of $10.1 for a $10 order. A relative threshold is a percentage that the underpayment or overpayment from a customer can fall within while still being approved and marked as a Complete payment. Example: Set relative underpayments threshold = 1% meaning you accept a payment of $99 for a $100 order. Set relative overpayments threshold = 1% meaning you accept a payment of $101 for a $100 order. ### Do I have to set an Underpayments and an Overpayments threshold? The default thresholds are absolute at 0.1 USD for underpayments and 5 USD for overpayments.
